Baby Girl Mini Album

I have been following the blog Everything and Nothing from Essex for almost a year now, and I love it!  In fact, my nine year old daughter Anna loves it, too!  Deanna Smith writes about her life with her husband and her beautiful 1 year-old baby girl, Addison.  Anna and I have fallen in love with Addison as we read about her and watch her grow on the blog.  I decided that it would be fun to make a mini album about Addison and send it to Deanna as a gift.  I used the My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink chipboard album.  Here is the finished album.  (Click on any of the pictures to get a close up.)

I used mostly My Mind's Eye Papers from the Quite Contrary, Ooh La La, and Penny Lane collections.  I was trying to use papers that I had on hand, and I love how the colors coordinate so nicely!
Isn't Addison cute having her cucumber facial?!  Love this picture!!  I used some Basic Grey Romani paper here and a Martha Stewart heart border punch.

Don't you just love Prima flowers?!
That look is priceless!
On many of the pages, I left journaling spots for Deanna to record Addison's age, the date, and any special details about the photo that she wants to add.  Along with the album, I sent Deanna an archival quality pen for her journaling.
Look at this little Sweetheart!

This little Maya Road Kraft envelope provides a place to tuck little love notes from Mom and Dad to sweet Addison.  Someday, Addison can go back and read those notes from her parents.
The back of the envelope is the perfect place to put a picture of Addison and her daddy out sledding!
This page says "Let's Fly" because Addison's daddy taught her how to "fly".  One day during a therapy session, Addison decided that it was time to fly (when it really wasn't), so she has her hand up in the air ready to fly.  I love this picture!

This scalloped chipboard page is one from my stash that I added to the album so I could fit more pictures in it.  The journaling card below is from Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking line.

I made a little envelope to add a few more pictures to the album.
For the last two pages, I used Fancy Pants Christmas Magic paper collection.  I wanted paper that looked "snowy" to match these pictures of Addison out playing in the Vermont snow with her daddy.

Mini albums are a great way for friends to quickly flip through photos of your kids or an event, without making them look through page after page of layouts in a 12x12 album.  Well, thanks for checking out my blog!!
