Life is Special!

It's way overdue!!  Time to get back to crafting and blogging!! I've missed both so much!  I recently made a few cards to encourage some friends, and now I am sharing them with you.  First up is a card using the Renew line by Authentique.

See that cute little blue bird?  I love him!  He is a wood veneer embellishment from Studio Calico.

This next card also uses the Renew collection.
And my last card is made from a 6 x 6 pad from My Mind's Eye.  There are so many people who I could say, "Thanks a Million!" to!  Not sure who I'll send this one to yet.

Well, "Thanks a Million" for stopping by my blog today!!  Have a wonderful week!

Valentine Treat Bags

I made up these Valentine treat bags to share with the caregivers at my father-in-law's nursing home.  He has been a resident at River Hills West in Pewaukee, WI for almost a year now.  The staff is very loving and compassionate to all of their residents, and we are grateful for how they care for each one.
I used clear cellophane bags, Crate Paper's Fourteen paper collection, Love You More paper collection by Imaginisce and various washi tapes.  I found the heart doilies in the $1 section at Target! :)  The sweet little Valentine images are by Authentique.  See that cute little glittered cupcake?   That's from Martha Stewart!  I stamped the "thank you" sentiment on it.

I used my Cricut to make the scalloped circles and cardstock hearts.  So fast and easy!!  After adding  shredded paper and candy, my husband and mother-in-law handed these out to the nursing home staff.

Hope you had a "sweet" Valentine's Day!  Thanks for visiting my blog!
