Homegrown

I recently purchased the Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection and had so much fun making a few layouts with it.  I love the rich, warm, fall colors in this collection!  For my "Homegrown" layout, I used a sketch from the October 2011 PageMaps.

Here's my take on the sketch:
Crate Paper has some sweet chipboard embellishments to go along with all of their paper collections!  I love the chipboard pie in this collection, especially since my son is serving apple pie in the picture.
I'll be back in a few days to share my other Crate Paper layout.  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Pumpkin Bread & Paper Doily Sacks

I wanted to make a few teacher gifts, and when I saw this recipe online, I decided it would be perfect:
Doesn't this Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bread look wonderful?

My version uses a mix for the bread, and I followed Nancy's recipe for the cream cheese filling:

I realize that my bread doesn't look as wonderful as Nancy Creative's, but my mini loaves do taste delicious!  Hopefully the teachers who receive these will be able to look past the exterior of my bread!  Well, a gift needs a pretty gift bag, right?
I took some plain paper lunch sacks and stamped black and white doilies on them.  I added some bling, a doily, and a cute tag at the top.

I LOVE the bags!!  I will have to try more of these handmade gift bags!
