"Come Unto Me... and I Will Give You Rest"

Just a quick card today that I made using scraps on my craft table.  I love using my scrapbook supplies to make cards and gifts that encourage others.  When someone is struggling in some area of their life, a note of encouragement can be a great help to them.  God's Word is the best source of comfort and encouragement for souls in need.  "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," (Matthew 11:28) is just one example.  I found this verse stamp at Hobby Lobby.

I used Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye, and Bo Bunny papers on this card.  Click on the pics for a close up.  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Easter Treat Bags

Today I'm sharing some little treat bags I made for the ladies in my Bible Study class.  A few weeks ago, they threw a surprise "Birthday Brunch" for me, and I wanted to give them a little something both for Easter and to say "thank you"!  My inspiration for these came from Melissa Phillips' blog, LilyBean's Paperie.  Check out her April 14, 2011 post.  I purchased the glassine bags from Papertrey Ink.

I used mostly Basic Grey papers for these bags.  I used a little bit of everything for embellishments...Crate Paper journaling cards and chipboard, Maya Road stick pins, My Mind's Eye stamps, hand dyed crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot, buttons from my stash...

These were lots of fun to make!!  Just click on any picture for a close up of the details.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

A Non-Scrappy Post!

I normally post pictures of cards, mini-albums, and altered projects on my blog.  But today I want to show off our family room.  I recently took a trip to sunny South Carolina! (Mostly sunny!)  While I was gone, a man from our church painted our family room for us.  He did a wonderful job, and the room looks beautiful!!  Click on the pics to take a closer look:
The picture below is the view of our dining room while standing in the family room.

Fun, Inexpensive Gift Ideas!

I teach a ladies' adult Bible study class, and I'm always looking for gift ideas for the ladies in my class.  Altered composition books make a nice, inexpensive gift.  These are just a few of the composition books I made.  Just click on the pics for a close up.  On this one I used Basic Grey paper.

I love this composition book made with K& Company paper:
I stamped a border down the left side.  I ran these journal cards through my printer to put the Bible verse on them.
One this last one, I used My Mind's Eye Tres Jolie collection.  My Mind's Eye is one of my favorite scrapbook companies!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!  I hope your week is wonderful!

Bloom Where You Are Planted

I have loved Pink Paislee's products since the company first started.  This card is made from their retired line called Queen Bee.  The lighting is not the best in my photos, but just click on the pics to get a close up.

The black lace is from Prima.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch and butterfly punch.
Pink Paislee has come out with some beautiful new products for spring 2011.  Check them out here.  I just purchased the Daily Junque papers and several embellishments from my LSS and can't wait to play with them.
